This happy group of long-tailed tits (enaga) thoroughly enjoyed playing in our bird bath this morning. I know it’s probably anthropomorphic to say so, but these birds were definitely having fun. It wasn’t just functional washing, they were taking turns and watching each other dive into the water. They even looked irritated when a White-eye (mejiro) joined in!
